{"id":363,"date":"2013-11-21T15:22:59","date_gmt":"2013-11-21T15:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ahay.org\/blog\/?p=363"},"modified":"2016-02-14T01:07:55","modified_gmt":"2016-02-14T01:07:55","slug":"madagascar-paper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahay.org\/blog\/2013\/11\/21\/madagascar-paper\/","title":{"rendered":"Madagascar paper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/openresearchsoftware.metajnl.com\/article\/view\/jors.ag\/20\">paper describing Madagascar<\/a> has been published in the <em>Journal of Open Research Software<\/em> (JORS), a new peer-reviewed open-access journal, which features papers describing research software with high reuse potential. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/m8r1.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/> <\/p>\n<p>This paper should become a standard reference for those who use Madagascar in their research and wish to <a href=\"\/blog\/2013\/01\/19\/if-i-write-a-research-paper-using-madagascar-do-i-need-to-add-a-reference\/\">reference it<\/a> in scientific publications. Following a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.rtwilson.com\/encouraging-citation-of-software-introducing-citation-files\/\">recommendation<\/a> of Robin Wilson, a file called <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ahay\/src\/blob\/master\/CITATION.txt\">CITATION.txt<\/a> is placed in the top Madagascar directory to provide reference information. Even the smallest contribution can be crucially important.
