It is inspired by an analogous program in <a href=\"\/blog\/2010\/08\/17\/madagascar-for-users-of-seismic-unix\/\">Seismic Unix<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The following example from <a href=\"\/RSF\/book\/rsf\/su\/rsfmodel.html\">rsf\/su\/rsfmodel<\/a> shows a simple model generated with <strong>sfunif2<\/strong> and reproduced from an example in the book <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.seg.org\/OnlineStore\/ProductDetail\/tabid\/177\/Default.aspx?ProductId=947\">Seismic Data Processing with Seismic Un*x<\/a> by David Forel, Thomas Benz, and Wayne Pennington.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/RSF\/book\/rsf\/su\/rsfmodel\/Fig\/mod1.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/> <\/p>\n<p>The input to <strong>sfunif2<\/strong> is a file containing sampled interfaces. The velocities in the layers can be specified as linear distributions<br \/>\n$$v(z,x) = v_0 + v_z\\,(z-z_0)+v_x\\,(x-x_0)$$<br \/>\nwith parameters given by <strong>v00=<\/strong>, <strong>dvdz=<\/strong>, <strong>dvdx=<\/strong>, <strong>z0=<\/strong>, and <strong>x0=<\/strong>. These parameters should be lists, with the number of elements greater by one than the number of interfaces. The desired sampling of the depth axis is specified by <strong>n1=<\/strong>, <strong>o1=<\/strong>, and <strong>d1=<\/strong> parameters. <\/p>\n<p>The 3-D version is <a href=\"\/RSF\/sfunif3.html\">sfunif3<\/a>.
